The biggest transfer of Czechoslovak esports history!

On December 1, 2020, the Czechoslovak esports scene reached a higher level, when the legend of the Czech Counter-Strike Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný joined SINNERS. The HLTV’s 14th best player in the world of 2018 moved SINNERS Esports to the next level thanks to his rich experience from abroad.

With oskar on the roster, SINNERS stayed among the TOP 30 teams of the world for a long 35 weeks. They won all domestic tournaments, followed by the prestigious ESEA Premier and Shadow League. The most successful Czech team was one game away from being the the first team in the Czech history to fight for the Major (bi-yearly tournament, which is sponsored directly by the developer of the game, Valve) in Stockholm, where the prize pool was set to $2 million.

At the beginning of 2022, however, the paths split between the thirty-year-old sniper and the number one Czech team. Tomáš Šťastný is most likely heading back to Europe.

„Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný, despite his age, is a player with incredible qualities, who brought to our relatively young team both security in the most important role (sniper) and especially valuable experience that elevated the whole team. But we all know how it goes in sports. Tomáš received a very good offer from the European team, which he was interested in, and we agreed to negotiate his transfer. Everything is on the right track and I would very much like to wish oskar good luck in his new endevours. On behalf of SINNERS, thank you for the excellent representation not only of our organization, but also of the entire Czech esports,“ said Tomáš "efron" Pechman, Chief Gaming Officer, about the departure of the oskar.

It was clear for SINNERS that replacing AWP player of this caliber would be an extremely difficult challenge. And that it won't be a cheap affair either. In the end, long-term scouting helped the Czech leadership to offer a seven-figure sum for David "forsyy" Bílý.

The ENTERPRISE Esports team accepted this offer and became part of the most expensive transfer in the history of domestic esports.

Moritz Straube, CEO of SINNERS Esports: „I'm sure we're not the only ones who we‘re watching him. David has a huge talent and I believe that he will become one of the best CZ/SK AWP players of all while in SINNERS. It was also extremely important for us to acquire a young talent who will be with us in the long run and with whom we will have a chance to qualify for the Major. It will not be easy for forsyy to follow in the footsteps of oskar, but I believe that even with him, SINNERS will stay in the TOP30 world and higher.“
